SE-Test India standard tar viscometer is mainly utilised for the purpose of ascertaining the viscosity of road oil and cutting back bitumen. The standard tar viscometer bath is chrome plated and comes with a drain valve along with a central tube used for receiving the test cup and positioning the stirrer.

The central tube comes mounted in a stand which has levelling feet and a curved shield which includes an insulated handle, a swivel support for the valve, and a thermometer socket. Moreover, the Tar Viscometer also includes a 10 mm cup and ball valve or a 4 mm cup along with a ball valve according to the requirements. It also features an electrical heater equipped with a Dimmer stat to control the temperature and immersion heating elements.
